Black Sheep  (2006)

(Foreign Titles)
Tagline(s):There Are 40 Million Sheep in New Zealand...AND THEY'RE PISSED OFF!
Get the Flock out of Here!
Nomination Year: 2019
SYNOPSIS:

Poor New Zealand. All the good cred earned from Lord of the Rings might well be erased by this one film.

The Oldfields have been raising sheep for generations, but this latest one has some problems: The younger son Henry has a severe sheep phobia and has been away for years, only returning to sell his portion of the family sheep business to his older brother Angus. And Angus? He has decided he can breed a better sheep through...well...let's just call it "extreme animal husbandry" plus illegal genetic engineering. When a couple of Kiwi hippies attempt to blow the whistle on the operation, they end up releasing a specimen slated for destruction, which infects the entire herd and turns them into bloodthirsty man-eaters. Henry, the farmhand Tucker, and the girl-hippie Experience (yes, that's her name) team up to stop Angus's evil sheep before the whole country is overrun!

This is the very definition of a Baa-aa-aa-d Movie.

Stupidest-Looking Monster
Poor Lamb Chop! She’s clearly pining for Shari Lewis! Guess it must have been hard to get work after her death…
"WHAT?!"
It’s Not Gay, It’s Just Baasexual
In order to foil Angus’s plot, Henry has to get across a whole yardful of killer sheep. He has to overcome his fear and disguise himself as a man in sheep’s clothing. One of the herd, however, gets a little…ramorous. (Rambunctious?) Fortunately, Henry has that sheep-shearing trophy with him.

Safety First
“Experience” (the girl hippie) is convinced the Evil Corporate Overlords have done something with her platonic friend Grant, and although violence is abhorrent to her, she’s willing to hold Henry and Tucker at gunpoint until she gets some answers. Except she doesn’t quite know how to use it. That’s okay, Tucker is there to help her out.
Crummiest Ending
Sheep-Dog
After some cool-down time for the audience to process and decompress from a gawdawful movie, we see it all wraps up nicely…until the dog on the hill sets us up for the Sheepquel.

The Sheep Bite It
nate encounter with the propeller of a single-engine plane (not clipped due to length) and is presumed dead. Tucker has a tank full of antidote. But will it be enough?? Just as our trio is trying to figure out how to get the small amount of antidote to all the sheep—enter Angus! He’s determined to not let his plans go to waste, even though he’s dying. He offers himself to his beloved sheep…and they say what the heck, they’ll bite. Afterward, the killer sheep are acting up again, it looks like they’ll escape! There is only one solution, in the end.
