Ator has come a long distance to fight the high priest of the evil spider cult, a powerful magician and expert swordsman. In fact, it's his old master -- the guy who taught him! Uh-oh. The fight begins. The high priest raises his scimitar. Ator raises his magical, mirrored shield to deflect the first blow and *KA-POOM!* His opponent explodes instantaneously in a puff of smoke and flame. End of fight.

Deus Ex Machina
Beware the Walking Dead
Ator and his female companion are on their way to seek the treasure-cave, but first they must cross the land of the Walking Dead. Ooo, spooky. They talk about how dangerous the Walking Dead are and that they hope they don't have to meet -- The Walking Dead. Wait, there they are! Shuffling figures with tattered armor and rusted weapons. The Walking Dead, oh no! Our heroes run for it, since nobody can hope to defeat...The Walking Dead. They run, run, run. The Walking Dead walk. The good guys run. The Walking Dead walk. Like Pepe Le Pew, the Dead seem to have no trouble keeping pace with their quarry. Ator and his friend rush down a mist-filled hollow. The Walking Dead start to follow, then, halfway through -- poof! They vanish. Ator's only comment: "They've disappeared. Let's go." Huh. How 'bout that.

Directors
Director Claim to Fame
Joe D'Amato VERY prolific Z-Movie and softcore porn director in the '70s through '90s, including helming such gems as Ator, the Fighting Eagle (as David Hills), 2020: Texas Gladiators (as Kevin Mancuso), and several of the Emanuelle franchise. His list has to be seen to be believed. Many of his credits are under aliases (how Smithee of him), spanning many nationalities, like "Raf De Palma," "Chang Lee Sun," "Alexandre Borsky," and many others. Much of his work is (by request) uncredited. Was born Aristide Massaccesi in Rome...at least he thinks so.
