Dangerous Game  (1987)
Nomination Year: 1993
SYNOPSIS: Some Australian teens think it would be a real hoot to hack into a department store's security system and go inside after hours for some late-night bargain-hunting. They get more than they bargained for when the doors lock behind them. Added to this mix is the local bully who followed them inside, a guy who happens to be a homocidal psychotic with paramilitary tendencies. Shortly thereafter it's "shop 'til you're dropped" for our hapless teens as the maniac stalks them like game.

That's One Dead Window
So if the doors are locked, why didn't they just go out a window, you ask? The trouble is that all the windows have these portcullis-like grates full of bars across them. After a few of the teens get picked off by the psycho, one of them gets the bright idea to pick up some firepower from the Guns & Ammo section of the store. They use the guns to blast their way out the main display window -- and then some. More than a little unhinged by the evening's events, the teens keep shooting, and shooting, and shooting...and shooting. With maniacal glee, they not only take out the grates and and the mannequins and every shard of glass, but they don't stop for some minutes afterward. The clip also shows the psycho having a flashback to the rest of the film shortly before (we can only assume) he kills himself in a storage room.
