Alien Blood  (1999)
Tagline(s):They Want Your Blood...
 The Truth Is Out There...
The Truth Is Out There...Way Out There...
Nomination Year: 2017
SYNOPSIS: What do you get when you multiply six by nine?

Take bad CGI, cross it with the plot sensibility of a poorly-written episode of "Doctor Who," and add a main character who looks vaguely like David Tennant.

These things are all irrelevant, as is this movie as a whole. A mother is trying to smuggle her baby to safety. The mother (and baby) are aliens. They are being hunted by a government conspiracy. They hide in a house of vampires. Lesbian vampires. There is rather a lot of nudity, and an assassination attempt disguised as exploding bagpipes.

All rendered (in the case of special effects, literally) so ineptly as to strip away any sense of humor, suspense, or pacing. I cannot recommend this movie. Despite the nudity. Despite the bagpiping. Despite the lesbian vampires. Despite even the alien blood.

Bryan's Note: It is telling that literally no one in the cast has an actor's photo on IMDB.com...

I Know Why the Crappy Alien Wails
An alien mother holds her child and wails in front of a nondescript landscape. Then she turns into (?) really, REALLY crappy CGI (even for the time) and screeches some more.
Directors
Director Claim to Fame
Jon Sorensen Alien Blood marks his writing and directorial debut...and you can tell. His visual-effects resume reads like a who's-who of great '80s sci-fi: Alien, Moonraker, Flash Gordon, Outland, Time Bandits, The Dark Crystal... I guess he decided he could go on his own and direct. He was wrong. Terribly, horribly, cheesily wrong.
Cast
Actor Character Claim to Fame
Francesca Manning Helene Sandra Milligan on "Coronation Street."
Rebecca Stirling Monique
Glyn Whiteside Jouvet/Tom Looks vaguely like David Tennant -- if you squint.
Shirley Clarke Second Alien Mother / MIB Soldier
Robert Jackson Alien Boy His only credit to date.
Ross Connor Roddy the Piper His only credit to date. His character name had to be a throwaway homage to They Live "star" and late wrestling/Bad Acting legend Roddy Piper. His inclusion here is equally superfluous.
