Aztecs and Thunder Lizards and Spaniards, Oh My!

So there's this leftover T-rex, right (later revealed as several), and this Aztec tribe makes a monthly human sacrifice to it. In comes Cortes and his crew of Spaniards, who run afoul of the beast and wound it with their weapons. This in turn angers the Aztecs, who capture two of them and are about to execute them.

But Ríos says, "Have I got a deal for you. Let us hunt and kill this Thunder Lizard, and you'll be free of it, or we'll be dead. Either way, it's a win-win for you! If we prevail, set us free."

The shaman says, "But then you'll come back with greater numbers and slaughter us." Cortes gives his solemn oath that won't happen. They take the deal.

I'm sure that will never come back to bite the Aztecs in the ass. Never ever.
