Tagline(s):Touch Him and You're Dust!
Nomination Year: 1994
SYNOPSIS: He's the Godfather of the Disco! Tucker (Rudy Ray Moore of Dolemite fame) is an ex-cop whose nephew Bucky is hospitalized by an accidental overdose of PCP (according to the film, also known as "Angel Dust, Smack, Whack, and Angel Dust"). In a swath of righteous vengeance, Tucker turns the underword upside-down as he uses his fists and wits -- well, his fists, anyway -- to take out an Angel-Dust-pushing drug cartel. But at what cost to himself? Not as high a cost as one who's watching this prime example of blaxsploitation.

Most Ludicrous Premise
There Are Only Two Syllables To Describe This Film, and One of Them Is "Stu"

Now that his nephew Bucky has landed in the hospital, his mind unhinged from an encounter with Angel Dust, Tucker vows to cut a swath of vengeance throughout the underworld until the perfidious PCP pushers are brought to (violent kung-fu) justice.

According to his ex-police lieutenant, there are only three things that can rile Tucker. One is to mess with his family. We never learn what the other two are.

And I guess the phone call he was about to make wasn't important, either.

"Wanna Run That By Me Again?"
I Don't Think Putting Your Heads Together Is Gonna Do Much
The rally speech which states (among other things), that "we must put our heads together and fight a thing that can save the lives of thousands of our young people."
Worst Special Effect
Freeze, You Thugs!
Tucker -- he's the Godfather of Bad Acting. This shows his facial expressions as some goons shoot up his disco in stop-motion.

Deus Ex Machina
Look! Down on the Ground! It's Super-Jogger!
Tucker is fighting the guards outside the druglord's hideout. A passing jogger stops and asks what's going on. Tucker says, "This is an angel dust factory." "Angel dust?!" yells the jogger. He whips off his towel and suddenly becomes an expert martial artist.

"Whoops!"
Nobody Is Going To To Watch Watch This This Film

The opening credits read: "RUDY RAY MOORE IS THE," followed by "THE AVENGING GODFATHER." Who did this? Same people who did "The The Eye Creatures," perhaps?

Must be, because in an eerily similar situation to Attack of the the Eye Creatures, all digitized instances of the double-the error seem to have been completely expunged from the internet! However, my VHS copy of the 1994 Smithee Awards is in my personal vault. And as soon as I have time to digitize it, I will post the clip.

This is a weird and disturbing trend...

Crummiest Ending
No, Mama, THIS Ain't Right!
The baddies dose Tucker with angel dust. He has a weird-ass trip, goes nuts, and ends up strangling the main baddie. But he himself is left even more insane than usual.

Worst Acting
"Where Is Bucky, and What Has He HAD?"

Tucker is the Godfather of the Disco. While he is DJ-ing and imploring his audience to "put their weight on it," his nephew Bucky has fallen in with the wrong crowd and is O.D.ing on PCP in the parking lot. This clip shows Bucky's panicked girlfriend informing Tucker of the terrible situation.

Someone call an am-u-lance! For me.

Worst Picture
Geez, Put Your Weight on It, Already!
The disco, when Tucker is first introduced, to the endless "He's the godfather of the disco!" He tells us to "put your weight on it."
