 The Beast Returns
Nomination Year: 2023
SYNOPSIS: More like The Afterbirth, because this obvious cash-grabs is just a sloppy-seconds rehash of the rest of the franchise. In a classic "Monster in the House" bit, a bunch of people are holed up by a blizzard in a castle in the Carpathian Mountains of Hungary, where years before, the last of a bloodline of werewolves escaped destruction as a baby. Now, as a couple of the modern-day tourists die mysteriously, it beocomes obvkious to the rest that there's a werewolf in their midst. What follows next is basically Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians, but with werewolves. Everyone suspects everyone else and paranoia reigns as the deaths continue. Secret passages, underground tunnels, and convenient weapons abound. For all the action I'm describing, the plot plods along at a slug's pace and you really never get to see a good look at the werewolf.

Inane Dialogue
Friends Don't Let Friends Turn into Werewolves
"Shoot him, Marylou!" "No, shoot him!" No, shoot ME. She does finally pick a target, and David reassures her that it was all just a myth and "People don't turn into werewolves." *She smirks*
"Let's Up The Rating To 'R'"
"Hey, Let's Get Naked in the Creepy Castle and Compare Birthmarks!"
Ray manages to get Marylou (played by the lovely Elizabeth She) naked by convincing her that naked bathing together is a local custom. It's also a thinly-disguised reason for the birthmark plot point. Unfortunate couple of minutes between bare ass and bare breasts.
