The Next Strain of Zombie Virus Is Taking Over the Zoo
Nomination Year: 2024
SYNOPSIS:
A Turn-This-Animal-Into-a-Killer-Zombie virus spreads through a new safari park that's getting ready to open, just when a group of interns and students are being trained. Luckily, the park wasn't yet open to the public, and luckily the virus doesn't seem to affect humans. Not so lucky, however, for the staff trapped in the park with the animals...
Kinda tries to be Jurassic Park Lite. And fails.

Missing Some Deadlions
The interns are talking to the chief adminstrator over the walkie-talkie. While they're talking, the *three* them somehow miss an entire pride of zombie lions surrounding them RIGHT THERE. Impossible!
Worst Special Effect
Zipline
Like a bunch of parks that don't care about liability, this one has a zipline to get across the park instead of, say, gondola cars or a nice monorail. Our protagonists use the zipline...which commits some of the worst greenscreen offenses I've seen in some time. One guy's arms aren't even at full extension as he's clearly standing there phoning it in. It culminates in a juicy Witchboard fall!
Acting Appropriately Stupid
Acting Ape-propriately Stupid
Kifo the gorilla (the last of his kind and Daxton's favorite exhibit) is down! Is he hurt? Despite knowing the animals are all turning into murderous zombies, Daxton rushes out to help...with utterly predictible results.
No, not the big band leader...sadly. The
"genius" behind the
Zoombies franchise
(including a video game) and director of
Aquarium of the Dead and
Death Aquarium. Hm.
This guy has an ASTOUNDING number of credits,
especially for his age. Wonder why he's not
more famous? John in The Gabby Petito
Story; Bobby Stanford in Art of
the Dead; and the voice of Tick on
"Tick and Tock." Plays characters in a lot of
Escapely Adventure Box adventures.
AKA "Kaiwi Lyman-Mersereau," he played Gutterball on
"American Horror Story," "Tony Z" Zapata in Den of
Theives, Wade in The Mongolian
Connection, and Jackson Shea in American
Violence.
