The Cold Light of Reason The protagonists' spaceship has a special "cold light" lamp that will render the ship completely invisible. How, you ask? Well the reasoning is this: If hot light (like out in the desert) can make you see things that aren't there, then cold light must be able to make you not see things that are there! Brilliant! Why didn't anyone think of that before?
