Alien Tornado
Tornado Warning
Nomination Year: 2025
SYNOPSIS:

This is one of those movies where you're pretty sure you've seen all the actors in something else, but can't quite place them. Weird green tornados are laying waste to northern Illinois. They trash the farm of local misanthrope Judd (Jeff Fahey), killing all the livestock. The insurance company refuses to pay, wiping out his genius daughter's college fund. A celebrity storm chase blogger (Kari Wuhrer) arrives from Chicago to investigate. While investigating the tornadoes, she and Judd run afoul of MIBs (David Jensen, and others). They turn to the local sheriff (Willard E. Pugh) for help. He sympathizes, but is outranked by the MIBs. The genius daughter finds a pattern in the electrical interference caused by the tornadoes and, with the help of the storm chaser's midget hacker friend, determines that it's an alien signal. The MIBs find out that our heroes have learned the truth and start arresting people. There are various shenanigans with arrests, escapes, and CGI tornado attacks. Eventually everyone is on the run en route to a Chicago TV station to warn the public before it's too late. But the alien storm is already bearing down on the (REALLY, REALLY) Windy City. Can the heroes and villains work together to save the day?
