Jack Frost (1997)

Nomination Year: 1999
SYNOPSIS:  A serial killer gets sprayed with "genetic acid" and turns into a snowman with incredible powers.

Most Ludicrous Premise

The Origin of Jack Frost
A serial killer on his way to being executed gets sprayed with a special acid that turns him into living snow.

Smithee Award Winner! "Alas, Poor Yorick"

What's That in the Snow Ahead?
Kid gets his head cut off by a sled. Irreducibly stupid.

Smithee Award Winner! Stupidest-Looking Monster

What's the Opposite of a Cold Shower?
A melted Jack is the bathwater. He screws and kills the beautiful girl who takes a bath. Dumb music, too.

Worst Science

Acid-Washed Genes
The scientist explains the "genetic acid" that made Jack Frost what he is today. It was developed to store the human DNA pattern in an inanimate object, in case of nuclear holocaust. Jack's condition proves, you see, that "the soul is a chemical!"

Worst Cover Copy

Ugly, Cheesy, Change-O Cover
It's one of those lenticular covers that changes its image as you tip it from side to side (or walk past it in the movie store). Almost impossible to convey in a JPG, but it changes from happy smiling snowman (not pictured) to snarly evil snowman (pictured).
