Martial Outlaw  (1993)
Nomination Year: 2001
SYNOPSIS: It's the story of two brothers -- one is a goody-two-shoes DEA man, the other a corrupt cop. They hate each other, but are brought together on a case. Oh, and they're both, like, 32nd-level black belts, of course. Um. That's about all there is to it.

A Fight as Big as Russia Itself
It starts for no real reason that I can discern, and lasts and lasts and lasts. Lots of stupid martial arts tricks and lots of easily-spotted fake punches. This also includes the bowl-in-the-face gag (the bowl hits the cop right in the face, unintentionally). The ending is a nice touch (you want to yell "Stay down!" at the last guy).

Inane Dialogue
I Promise You'll Be Dead Within Two Minutes .
Okay, it's more like ten minutes, but this informant is nervous that his kingpin boss will find out. Kevin, the DEA man, reassures him that there's no way the kingpin can ever know. "There's no way he'll find out," Kevin says. "I give you my word." No sooner is the word "word" out of his mouth than we see them being photographed. (That's the evil cop brother, by the way, who's looking to get in good with the drug kingpin.)
