The Journey: Absolution  (1997)
Nomination Year: 2003
SYNOPSIS: I will say this for Maxim Xul. It didn't have much going for it, but at least it had Adam West (Batman). The cover here touts the appearance of Richard Grieco (21 Jump Street). Yeah, I'm sure all the 21 Jump Street fans ran right out and rented this. Both of them.

I've Heard of "Endless Love," But...
This isn't so much a love scene as it is an educational video demonstrating all possible sexual positions. Just when you think of something they haven't done yet, they cut to them doing it.
Smithee Award Winner! Crummiest Ending
Too Bad Bob Vila Wasn't Working for Those Aliens
The alien teleportation device overloads and explodes. Must have been shoddy workmanship, 'cause it wasn't anything the hero did. The countdown doesn't quite work, either.

Directors
Director Claim to Fame
David DeCoteau Also credited as Julian Breen, Ellen Cabot, Richard Chasen, Dave DeCoteau, Eric Mancini, David McCabe, Jack Reed, Victoria Sloan, Martin Tate, Joseph Tennent, and Mary Crawford -- so far. I'd try to disguise my name, too, if I had nearly 200 directors' credits, all crap. Following the pattern of most of his messterpieces, his next made-for-TV flop should be called The Wrong Director
