Killer Buzz  (2001)
[+]
(Foreign Titles)
Nomination Year: 2005
SYNOPSIS: Deep in the Amazon rain forest, an intrepid female reporter and her faithful cameraman come across a plot by corrupt American oil interests to exterminate the indigenous Indian population by siccing bio-engineered killer bees on them. However, these bees seem to have an unexpected side-effect: Their stings *heal* as well as kill. So a self-serving scientist smuggles a crate of the little darlings aboard his flight back to New York. You can probably guess the rest: They get loose and start killing people while the reporter's ex-boyfriend finds his inner hero and rescues as many passengers as he can, even eventually landing the plane safely under less-than-ideal circumstances. Rutger Hauer plays an over-the-top mercenary.

Most Ludicrous Premise
Ripped from the Headlines
The evil oil company exec describes the plan to genetically-engineer bees to kill the indigenous people of the Amazon so they can swoop in and buy up the land and make a ton of money. Except for the whole genetically-engineered-bees part, it doesn't sound so far-fetched anymore.

CGIBs
The CGI bees fly around a bunch of actors pretending to swat at them. Including one girl who screams "Oh. My. Goooooooodddd!", which the CGIBs take as a cue to fly into her mouth.
