Gunan il Guerriero
Gunan, King of the Barbarians
The Invincible Barbarian
Lost Warrior
Nomination Year: 2007
SYNOPSIS: Prophecy says a barbarian leader will be born to bring peace
to the world. Except the barbarian turns out to be twins, in
defiance of the will of the gods. Their village is burned
immediately after they are born, but the twins are smuggled
to safety and raised by a tribe of amazons. When they reach
adulthood (although it looks more like middle age...), they
must fight to determine who is the real child of destiny,
then the winner must kill the evil barbarians who burned
his village and killed his mother. At some point in all
this the gods get appeased, but we're really not sure how
(then again, we never really understood why they were upset
in the first place, so I guess it all works out).

Oblivious
Guard! Bonk!
The barbarian and his girlfriend stealthily
escape from jail past the hyper-alert guard.

Stupidest-Looking Monster
Apttack of the Pterodactyls
This doesn't have anything to do with the movie. We're
just advancing through the evolution of the world and they
had some extra dinosaur footage from some other movie.

"Whoops!"
What's the Opposite of Self-Repairing?
His armor is intact at first. Wait, now he's got the patented Kirk rip!
Crummiest Ending
What? The Sword Was Magic, Too?
Inane voiceover about the moons and the illuminations, and on and on. The sword, I should
point out, has never been mentioned as special during the
entire movie and has shown no extraordinary powers whatsoever.
And what will WE do?

Worst Picture
It's Like Drama, Only Slower
Oblivious attack followed by a bad sword fight.
Pointless slow motion, bad music, people falling before
they're hit, blows that obviously do no damage, and lots
of sword swings against people just off-camera. And they're wearing sweat pants and sneakers!
You may wonder how his career could have
topped Super Stooges vs. the Wonder
Women ... wonder no more! Popping up
in such strange places as the star of the
Superargo franchise to bit parts
in Ladyhawke and The Last
Temptation of Christ to doing stunts
for Jewel of the Nile.
